Pavee Point Coordinator for our Drug & Alcohol Programme (DAP)
Closing Date: Thursday 5th June 2025.
Report to: Directly to the Health Manager.
Objective: To provide management and oversight of the MQI IPS Addiction Service
T&C: The appointment will initially be for one-year full time, renewable thereafter depending on funding.
The salary will based on the Pavee Point Coordinator salary scale and the point on salary scale will be commensurate with experience. We offer a pension scheme and generous leave entitlements.
Context
The specific aims of the DAP in Pavee Point are to:
o Strengthen Traveller participation in responding to substance misuse issues
o Continue to develop and support a Traveller analysis and action of substance misuse issues
o Ensure Traveller inclusion in all relevant drug policy, research and service developments
o Develop, design and deliver a range of training modules and materials as appropriate for work with Traveller groups & service providers.

MQI Addiction Service Manager - Irish Prison Service

Report to: Deputy Head of Operations Regions Prisons
Objective: To provide management and oversight of the MQI IPS Addiction Service
Base: Across IPS Estate
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: Depending on relevant experience.
Context
The IPS Addiction Service Manager is a new role within Merchants Quay and reflects a broadening of MQI’s
work with the prison Network. MQI currently employs 20 addiction counsellors in 11 prisons and delivers a
bespoke Treatment and Rehabilitation Programme (TARP) in the Medical Unit in Mountjoy Prison. Following a
recent review of the TARP programme MQI is currently changing our model of delivery of addiction services
within the prisons, and we are looking for an experienced addiction specialist to lead the roll out of all our
addiction support services.
